I changed out my lighting from a Radion to a ATI T5 fixture and a Reef Brite XHO led strip recently and hate the fact I am using cheapo plastic timers again.
So I bought a Apex Jr, a VDM module and just ordered a reef brite dimming module, with the idea of only using this equipment for light control only.
I know absolutely nothing about this controller. In fact it's still in the plastic sealed box.
I'm alot intimidated by seeing some of the posts about doing code for this or that for different functions.
Can I send/take this over to someone else's place and have them setup predetermined times for on and off functions for the ATI fixture, and dimming times for led strip, and then bring it home and mount the equipment and just plug in the lights in predetermined plugins?

I realize that to those of you that understand how to use a Apex, this may sound silly, but like I said, it's scary to me.

I think you can do what you want. The Apex app is web based or you can use a mobile app.. The only part that might be a pain is connecting it to your friends network, then going home and connecting it back to your network. But I don't think you'll lose your settings if that's what you're asking.

You can grant permission to others to access your apex once connected to your network

Honestly it sounds more intimidating than it is. Apex has the comprehensive manual that's easy to follow as you're doing it. And help in the Apex forum....You got this!

And throw some temp failsafe in there as well, very easy, might as well.

I wasn't aware that this was web based.
I guess similar to ESL with my Radions.

So I have to setup a account to login to?
