Well due to my job in 2 way radios I travel A LOT to many racing events across the US and concerts. While I love every moment of it and get to meet a lot of people in high places my tank tends to suffer. The wife forgets to feed from time to time and I can't blame her with 4 kids. Anyways I bought a AFS TODAY and I must say this thing is BIG. It's a little to big I have a 75 gallon tank with a 12 inch high canopy and I had a lot of trouble finding somewhere to mount this thing. I have a 4 bulb aquatic life t5 fixture and so everything would have clearance it was hard to find a place. As far as the unit itself. Well its OK not sure if it's worth $99.99 I think $49.99 to at most $74.99 would be a better price point. The barrel that u store the food in is impossible to get out while there is food in it. I pulled the lid off and dumped a cap load of food into my tank and the amount adjuster is not that good u eaither get a little food or way to much food. Other then that it seems OK only time will tell I guess.

I have to agree, I'm not really impressed. It does it's job and the programming is nice but the design and function is lacking.

It is kind of a let down I am new to apex and have loved it so far and really thought this would be over the top great but it's not I just really feel like 100 is way to much for it that's why I wrote this small review just for anyone that may be on the fence about it

Yeah I wrote one too on my local forum, I was very surprised how loud it is also. I have had mine about a month and it has worked well plus having it integrated with my Apex is awesome but like you said, not really $100 awesome.
