Apex old to new questions?

if i get the apex orange label now and upgrade to the new apex 2016 would i be able to use the eb8 and display? Also would i be able to use the probes if needed for some reason? Not sure on the stuff thats mix and match on these units i would expect the old stuff to be compatible and used by the new but not the other way around.

Yes to probes, energy bars and any modules that work on orange label apex.
