Apex Programing..not a comp guy need help??

hi..just received my apex aqua controller with the conductivity probe and module....it seemed simple to me to program but it isn't ..

I am not really a computer person but really like help on this if someone could walk me through step by step on this....I hooked every thing up...

1st question my apex is showing pH 5.17

..that cant be right..does it need to be calibrated or what....

2nd abut the salinity probe...
where does it show salt levels on it...does it need to be calibrated as well...
bc i read somewhere that all the probes comes calibrated when they cme new...

3rd i am using a netgear wnce router to coonect apex with the internet...
router is connected with internet that i know bc i have checked...
it is hooked up with apex unit but how would i know that is connected with the internet....
what goes under dhcp subnet default gateway dns ....do i type my ip address under all these locations.....i have lot more question....sorry for being do dumb...

I'd recommend typing "Apex unofficial user guide" in google and downloading the pdf file. It's filled with tons of information and will probably answer most of your questions.

Believe me, I'm far from a computer guy too and that guide dumbs it down enough that I was able to program the Apex with ease. It also goes over connecting it to the web, calibrating probes, and pretty much anything else you can think of.

Also, to answer your first couple of questions, you need to calibrate all of your probes when you first put them in use. You should also recalibrate them on a routine basis (every few months).

i did exactly as the user giude says....
recorded all the address from the cmd box by typing ifconfig/all...
still cannot connect.....

I am using the wnce2001 gaming adapter ..

Did you try connecting with an Ethernet cable first? It recommends setting up web connectivity with a wired connection before moving on to the wi-fi connection.

this it eliminates any problems during setup..

no i tried it with the wireless only bc my router is not way close to the tank..if so i am gne have to buy like 200 feet of cable i guess

i am not hme right now but quick questions...
got it....since i'll be doing it hard wired way...is there any thing i need to change as info that i already fed in the apex unit before i connect it with my router through ethernet.???
