The other day I realized that my Apex Salinity probe was off. I keep my water at 35ppm, which is what it was reading. I then checked the salinity with my just calibrated Hanna checker and my just calibrated refractometer. It wasn't 35ppm, it was 36.5ppm.

So I re-calibrated my salinity probe yesterday, and it is way off. It's also having crazy swings. No bubbles inside the probe that I can tell.

When I calibrated it, I let the calibration solution float in the tank until it was the same temp as the tank water (saw this method on the Apex forums).

Before I waste another calibration packet, does anyone have any suggestions, or are these probes just crap?

Here's a pic of my crazy swings, and it having an incorrect reading (currently reading about 35.5-36 via refractometer/Hannah).
