This is my first Apex so maybe I’m missing something. My apex temp prove is always off by 2 or more degrees. I have three separate temp controllers in my tank plus the temp probe. All three temp controllers show the same temp of 77.8 and 78. However my Apex prob will show 75. I have calibrated it and within two hours it will be off again. Any suggestions?

Unfortunately, I think you only have 3 options.

The first is to try and calibrate again.

The second is just knowing that the temp probe is 2 degrees different from your others and use it accordingly.

3td, You could also try calibrating it as 80 degrees and see if it levels out? Just some ideas.

Thanks I appreciate. Was hoping I was doing something wrong but sounds like option 2 or 3 might be my destiny. I can’t figure out why it starts drifting as soon as two hours.

Temperature probes are always off. I've got 3 that read different. It's not that crucial thankfully.
Glad I’m not alone. Raises my blood pressure when I get alarms that my tank has dropped to or below 75

Why are you getting alarms? They aren't accurate, but normally consistent.
They alarm after I calibrate it then 2 or so hours later the apex prob starts dropping which triggers the alarm. It doesn’t seem to hold the calibration.

New Apex or new to you ?
It’s brand new and is also my first Apex. With that being said I think I made a rookie mistake. I placed all my probes in the return section of the pump. I moved it and it seems to have stabilized. Thanks guys for the input.

For the other rookies out here... where are the probes best placed? :)

I placed all three of mine after my filter socks and it seems to be running fine now. My temp lags a little since one of my heater probes are in a sump chamber 3 chambers from my apex temp probe. I’ll prob move one of the temp probes into the apex temp probe chamber.
