So I normally have the tank temp cycling the way you can see, then all of a sudden today I noticed a flatline but nothing different regarding environmental/room temperature. I took the Apex probe out and it dropped as would be expected. Can this be temp probe malfunction if it still drops down upon taking it out of the water? I have resorted to my backup heater controller for now in an abundance of caution.

So I turned off the entire Apex and back on again and took the temp probe out and it looks like normal again. Anyone seen the temp probe stop responding like this?

Mine is doing the same thing right now… I swapped to my back up InkBird just to be safe. You ever find a solution?

Glad you sorted it out!

I use two temperature controllers (one for redundancy) backed up by the Apex so that the EB832 don't switches on/off 20 times every day.

Cheaper to change a heater controllers when it burns out :)
