I recently finished setting up my Apex and have a question regarding the temperature readings. I currently have a Red Sea ATO, Inkbird and the neptune giving temperature readings.

All three are giving different numbers, what would you trust most?
At the current moment in time
Red Sea: 76.8
Inkbird: 77.3
Neptune: 79.0

I'm going to try cleaning the Red Sea and Inkbird to see if that makes them get any closer.

Is there a separate thermometer you trust to calibrate with?

I recommend a floating or suction mount unit as pictured to compare with.

Agree, I wouldn't trust any of the three (especially the stinkbird). Use a quality mercury thermometer like the one above and calibrate your apex to that. BTW, my 'independent' check is a Ranco. Seems to hold its accuracy better than most (perhaps since it is industrial quality).
