So what does it mean that the new update on apex has functions for AI 26 hd lights?
 
It likely means more controllability via Fusion. Maybe they have a new wireless module? Im not certain since I run different lights but that would be my guess. Are you controlling them through Apex now?
 
I believe the new firmware can control the AI lights wirelessly through their proprietory "IoTA" interface.

I wish the controllers and device manufacturers would grow up a little and adopt a standard IoT connectivity standard. These little micro-ecosystems that are being created wont last long or have wide scale adoption. :(
