I don’t know if it was mentioned but they were charging people monthly membership fees. As high as $200 per month I think, to get access to wholesale fish. Other retailers got angry and they got cut out of the business. They were basically trying to be a middleman. Many people did not get their money back. And as it was mentioned, they were called fishy business before.

yes, I did not go into paragon reef

I don’t live in the states and obviously don’t buy from anyone online. But I did kind of follow what was happening in real time and I kept scratching my head. I’m sure people got great stuff from them and it was good for the consumer. But the name changes and branching off of websites seemed like they were trying a bit too hard to be all over the place and make money. Is that ok? I guess. It’s not illegal. But seemed unethical. And I read the statements from them many times and they always defending themselves based on their decisions

When they abrubtly closed shop, they didn't refund my fully paid waiting to be shipped open order. No return of emails or pm's...Nothing. Got it back by doing cc/PayPal dispute which they also never responded to. They were spotted on the forum though, reading that giant thread about them. Of course I don't think they ever responded there either.

Had they refunded payments for products that were never shipped I wouldn't be so sour about them. But that was not the case at least in my situation.

It's great to see people who were there. Ah I remember that thread

Hard to get a sense of their wrong doing. We're they claiming and charging for other services that were not being provided like quarantining and such? If it was drop shipping alone I don't see why it matters.

I often order from eBay and get Amazon packages, don't matter to me as long as I get what I ordered at a price I like. Or am I missing something here.

Depends. Do you care about where your livestock comes from? Do you care if the people you are buying it from go out of their way to lie about where it’s coming from?

Just trying to get the details hotshot this story is brand new to me

oh boy, it's really a lot of information and I'm really bad at explaining
so they filed for bankruptcy months ago and I thought that was it
they filed because their money making scheme got exposed.
So this married couple made fishy business doing drop shipping. I do not know if they made QT and facility claims at this stage, I believe I remember seeing it but I don't remember so we will say they didn't
then came aqua locker, they claimed to have two facilities they OWN and their own staff works at, in California and Texas
then Fish Biz came back as a second site offering their catalog just cheaper without the 14 day guarantee.
Then came the end, Paragon Reef their THIRD website!? offering whole sale to ANYONE!
It felt off.... weird.... then this part I don't know, they claim Live aquaria was trying to use legal actions to shut them down?
This is odd, one of the people who did freelance work for them and that I worked with during this got me some legal files, I did not disclose them and all I can really say is that AL had some legal talkings with LA before and came to a non discloser agreement. I can say that this claiming against LA was breaking their agreement that they made, so in a rush to look innocent they broke their own legal agreement
Then finally from the pressure for people coming on that all their claims were lies, having THREE WEBSITES and finally legal pressure they filled bankruptcy and shut down

and here we are. I got a message from the women running their social media that they are using the AL domain saying they will open again but hey for now check out our website design service!
SO they are trying again to get money
in all reality, at it's core nothing is wrong with doing freelance work like this, it's just the way they try to deceive people just makes me feel wrong
I did talk to them about QT because they were offering it. They asked a crazy amount of money and I wasn’t interested. Something felt off and I never went with it. Not to mention it was a insane number they were asking to do so.
