Appropriateness of Iwaki Magnetic Pump?

3-4x actual display volume. A nominal 180 is closer to 160 actual gallons (before rock displacement). I do 1,550 from my PanWorld 250 for 400 gallons of display volume.

Do not get a Japanese's pressure pump, they are a PITB when trying to hard plumb them. I need to trade my pressure pump for a non pressure pump. Funny an easy way to tell how old an Iwaki is if there is any outside rust on them.

I use the Iwaki 100 for my skimmer. It works great for that purpose (high pressure) but it's very loud. The pressure it's capable of is impressive but that's really what you're paying for in electricity and noise - not really flow. I wouldn't call it an ideal return pump in most situations, unless you're pumping water up significant heights.
