AQI and protein skimmers

With all the smoke from the Canada fires, I have removed my outdoor air intake for my skimmer. I assume that the PH might drop a little but feel it's better than the smoke particles in my tank. I and in SC and it's much worse north of me. Anyone else feel this way or am I worried about nothing ? AQI over 50 means the air quality is POOR! Some places have reading over 300.

This is interesting.
Living on the east coast, it was pretty bad yesterday.
I do actually have a filter on the end of my intake and it has carbon in it.
But, never thought to take it offline.

There are particles in the ocean that air cannot even begin to fathom that corals have to put up with. Some of the smart folks in the chemistry section have weighed in on this, as well as for the many people who deal with fires, dust storms, etc. yearly and it is a nothingburger for our tanks. Do not sweat this, IMO.
