Disappointed with this batch of reef salt, mag is at 1550. That's' way to high, I switch from another brand a year and a half ago and this is my 6th bucket of reef salt, and it seems every batch keeps getting higher and higher in mag which throws off my dosing of alk and Cal coming from my doser, which leaves me to have to keep on adjusting, which is not stable for my reef. Also I feel high mag is the reason why some of my snails have died. 1550 is no where close to the tested level printed on the paper in the bucket.

What test kit did you use? Also, did u mix the bucket up before you made the salt water?

Yes I mixed it. Salifert test kit. I have 2 test kits and an older one also, so 3 test kits all saying same thing

I've had 2 say the sane thing before. Not disagreeing with you but it did turn out to be the test kits... have you thought about getting a Groton sample and comparing?

No I have 3 sailfert and an older nyos mag kit all reading within same thing number. It's definitely not test kit
