Does anyone have any experience with the Aqua Shield Universal UV Sterilizer? I have a Red Sea Max E-170 and was thinking about putting it in the back. Having some algae and bacterial bloom issues. My water parameters are good. Don't want really to add additives to fight problem. Thanks!

Any uv will work, but if your in it for the long run, get something good. My 90w lifegard pro max hasn't had a problem in a year. And dinos are gone and the cloudy bacterial bloom I had too. Imo it helps replicate open ocean. Sort of like a predator of microorganisms. If we dont got the right predator, then one particular microorganism exsplodes in growth. Thus a uv gives an equal chance for most microorganisms to attempt to survive, and not just one.

I have one on my 40 cube. It's ok, but I would use the online versions of these UV and will most likely switch soon. If you have an innovative marine tank then it will fit perfectly.
