Ordered multicolor angel and filefish for 110 in December. Clicked on 99 dollar free shipping. Arrived late and dead (UPS fault).

Waited over a week for insurance claim.

Now finally got coupon codes for fish, but will not let me use a 99 dollar shipping code with this order or any reorder. Facing 40 dollar shipping and absolutely will not just give me a refund either, which i would like at this point.

Now have 110 dollars in store credit and want to just ship the 70 dollar angelfish and let the store credit cover the shipping instead of getting another filefish,,,, am not able to use the code for that either.

Will stick with live aquaria from now on i guess

Regardless, I do not recommend @AquaLocker

I will from now on make more of an effort to support my LFS. It's tough in the internet age but the right thing to do

I think what really stinks is that I cant even bump it up to 150 total and get free shipping

You left out some key information... you never asked us to allow you to just get the one fish and apply part of the $110 store credit towards shipping. You only asked us if you could use the entire store credit and have free shipping. When we said no, you asked us to bump up the store credit (which is for livestock only) to $140. That wouldn't have helped with the shipping costs, you would only have been able to get more livestock, but still been charged shipping.

Additionally, we don't charge a packing fee (like LiveAquaria, which they never refund), we don't charge for morning delivery, it's included (LiveAquaria now ships next day, not morning). The only reason the fish died was because of a UPS delay, not something we caused. Many companies won't even cover losses caused by the carrier.

We're sorry that you are not happy, but shipping is the BIGGEST expense online companies deal with because everything must be shipped via Overnight Air.

If you would like to discuss other options with us, please feel free to contact again privately.

I would love the opportunity to just have my order reshipped. Please do that, I will be delighted.

I asked for the 140 dollar code not yet knowing the codes did not include shipping cost (was still expecting to pay more $$ here). This was after you offered to pay half of my shipping in response to lots of nagging via text message.

Their customer service agent was really nice, her hands were tied. This is a complete log of our communications after I called a couple times because the store credit codes were coming up with "an error in your cart" message. I was not figuring out that this was because shipping wasn' t covered.

However, the post suggesting that i asked for a 140 dollar code to get more stock was insulting. It was to get most of the money in shipping back, negate my losses down to around 10 bucks. This is the complete story and I hope aqualocker just refunds me tomorrow.

I should also add that they stopped texting me back, then did once i originally posted on R2R. This is when i was trying to add just the one fish and finally figured out that the store code couldnt be used for shipping in any way, shape, or form

That bag is actually large enough for that fish. Did you do anything to counter the normal spike in ammonia following shipping and opening a bag?

at this point the fish is 100% onto my tank water and just replacing small amounts periodically to maintain temp and oxygen
