Hello,
I'm setting up a 300g sps and have an aquamaxx coneS co3 from my 180 on which the skimmer performed wonderfully.
Am I undersized skimmer wise or the co3 is enough for the larger tank? Per manufacturers info it's :
Volume Rating: 500 Gallons
Footprint: 12.6" x 14.6â€
Height: 22.9â€
Chamber diameter: 8â€
Outlet size: 1†Quick-Precise adjustment valve
Pump (included): Modified Sicce 3.0
Water Flow Rate: 2600 l/Hr
Air Intake: 1020 l/Hr
Pump power consumption: 27 watts
Recommended Water Leve: 8"-10â€
Requires approximately 1/2" of clearance to remove collection cup.

I know they overrate just don't know how much

Following this one. I am looking at same skimmer.

I think you're fine, unless you're planning on a huge sump/refugium.
