Aquareef 275 hood removal.

Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone had removed the black (or white) plastic from the top of an aquareef tank and if so how did you go about it? Could anyone who has please share some pics.

Try going to your local hardware store to pick up one of the plastic or aluminum flat scraper. Removing the black trim won't be easy as it is silicon on the tank pretty good. Honest opinion, don't even try it, they put that on there for a reason. If you want to go rimless, sell your current tank and find a rimless tank.

I’m thinking of doing this as well. Love the streamline look of mini reefs. How did you get on with this mod?
