Aquarium chip sanding

Hello everyone!
The reason I'm writing this is because I have a chip in my tank, and I was wondering if sanding off the small chip from the edge of the glass panel would 'close' the glass structure again, and would it work, if done correctly.
Has anyone done this before? If yes, I would really appreciate if you could write down how it went, and if it worked out or not.

I had a chip on my tank. I used clear, 2-part epoxy and filled in the missing glass. I also peeled out the old silicone and resealed every seam. I then filled the tank with fresh water and watched for leaks for two weeks. I've had no leaks since refilling with saltwater. That is not a guarantee that it will work for everyone. I spent a long time making sure the work was perfect before testing it. 250 gallons on the water would have set off the Minister of War so I made a point of being cautious. Most here would tell you to buy a new tank.

I like the epoxy approach for sure I am guessing but it may e like a windshield. If left the crack will spider. Don't know for sure but would get right on it
