Just saw this and it freaked me out about the possibility of losing power (which is rare here) so I just bought a power back up for my Nero 5. Thanks guys for discussing how important it is and sorry about losing some of your fish.

BTW please post back when you get it, I am curious what the runtime is for the Nero 5. Mine seems to be averaging 5w according to apex which should give 4-5 hours I think minimum...

With my Nero running on random between 25 to 75% it showed 930 minutes, so about 15 hours. I am going to run it this weekend for 3 or 4 hours and see what it shows after that to get a better average.

I ran it about 3 and half hours tonight and still had over 10 hours of power. I could see it going easily over 15+ if I turned the powerhead down to 40-50% if I was home with a power outage

Thank you. I will pick up the same model, this whole power outage thing has me paranoid
