So I'm looking at buying a 150 gallon tall tank in the near future. The brand I am looking at is deep blue and I'd like everyone's imput on if it's any good or not.

Welcome!!!

Deep Blue is a good brand. IS it new or used? If used ensure you witness it full of water to inspect for leaks prior to purchase.

One warning: Deep Blue usually use a combination of tempered and standard (drill-able) glass on each tank. The placement of this glass is dependent on the model. If you are going to drill yourself make sure you know which is which.

I plan on buying new and I had planned on drilling myself to run either the eshopps or synergy over flows

When I bought my Deep Blue frag tank I got in contact with Howard Goldman. I forget how I found him. He should be able to answer your question.

I have pasted info below:

Here is some other info regarding the Deep Blue tanks I got from Howard:

"Tempered panels are marked with a small, white, round silkscreen emblem near the edge of the panel near a seam.

Search panels thoroughly for this emblem prior to drilling.

Drilling non-tempered glass is not a foolproof operation - non-tempered glass can still shatter if improperly handled."

From what I was told the deep blue tanks are tempered all but the sides so I guess I need to find a different brand..

There is collectively a lot of knowledge here for you. I see that you're new to the site. Welcome! There's a great bunch of very helpful folks here.
If I may offer some advice... you will get more a more direct response if you are more direct in your title like "What is the best drill friendly tank on the market" or "What tanks use untempered glass." and you'll get more useful info. Good luck with your tank build!
