Has anyone ever put a drain system in their stand so if the tank overflows it will catch the water? My sump will be in the basement and my stand will be pulling double duty aquarium stand on top and entertainment center underneath.

I've seen drain pans in the sump area of the stand below the tank, but it sound like you want it just below the tank. It's possible, but your risk factor goes up significantly with non-waterproof electronics below large volumes of water. Good luck with whatever direction you choose!
