Aquariums and Windows…

Hello everybody,

Is your aquarium by a window? If so, do you keep the window shades open or shut? I noticed that all my LFS have tinted windows, so that is what I have been doing, but I would like to open them if that’s okay. Would there be a big growth of algae? Is that a bad idea?

I only worry about it when the tank lights are off.
