Setting up a Reef Casa Studio 12. 12" deep, 16" wide, 11" tall display area. I have a few ideas in mind, looking for opinions on them. Any input? Made a poll, but would like to hear input as well. Trying to maximize the space, while also making the tank appear bigger than it is.

This will be a mixed reef, no specific coral plans, but I want to leave all options open. I do want to have the ability to add a mangrove at some point, so that's a factor into my designs. I also do like the look of a bit of the rock breaking the surface.

I will need to glue them together, some of them have my hand in the photo holding it for balance. The box is cut to the dimentions of the tank.

Option 1:

I like option 2. The negative space will really add a nice touch once it’s populated, plus no shadow areas. Now if you could get that look with a little cave under it for fish to hide in you would be in business. Option 5 is nice as well but it may present issues cleaning the glass around the base.

Thanks for the input. I like 5 the most I think, with a preference to option 4 as well, too.

All of them are designed with room to clean the glass, so no worries there. I am planning a 1.5" or so sand bed, that will cover some of the bottom of the rocks. I will place the rocks then add the sand.
