IM 20G Fusion mixed reef

I had a build thread so long ago but only came back into reefing maybe 4 months ago. I did have a 6g but after that got stocked decided to pick up a used IM 20G fusion. Posting here whenever new pieces come in and just for colour and growth updates. Sadly all the acros are browned out but im sure after everything settles they'll come back. Tank was set up with pre established media and rock/sand around a day ago

Tank: IM 20G FUSION
lighting: radion xr15 Gen 4 (planning to add 2 more lights so support since there's lots of shadowing

Roughly 20lb live sand (pre established) 21lb lr

Fish stocking: just 1 springeris damsel that the person I bought the tank off of had, planning on a watchman goby, orchid dotty, and Maybe a 6 line (may hold off but I designed the tank to have lots of interaction)

Inverts: 6 cerith, 4 nass, 1 skunk cleaner from my 6g, 1 tiger pistol which was given alongside the springeris. Once the tank establishes itself 1-2 acro crabs

Parameters: red sea blue bucket
Phosphate 0.04 (slowly been bringing it up, having the fish helps)
Nitrate 5-10
Cal roughly 430
Alk 9 (fluctuates around .3 a day)
Mg 1390-1400

Always been a fan of zoas, looking at a big bird, illuminati, lsoh, and some of those classic higher end zoas

Now that I have the room a lot of the lower portions will be lps. Next week plan on adding an 8 head of Duncan, couple random bowerbanki, and a rainbow Tracy

Unfortunately the majority have browned out from the move. It's unfortunate but im hoping colors return within a couple months. Only the ssc and the cherry pie are unfazed. Usually I find they recover within 3 months so hopefully its the same here

Within the month I plan on picking up a couple lps, most notably a holy grail micromussa, big bird zoa, and a rainbow Tracy. Thanks for following, updates will come with any new changes

Picked up an orchid dottyback/ywg to pair with the pistol. Wanting to stock some more inverts but am looking at a pixy/longnose hawkfish.

Just got a new protein skimmer, facing some weird buzzing issues with it, sadly due to the leeching nitrate and phosphate from the used live rock I bought it did have my encrusted Jimmy bean and hellfire mille have rtned. Once I fix the skimmer today (if I can) ill be starting carbon dosing

Will be doing 5ml a day this week, 10 next, and 15 the next. My nitrates before were around 5 and my phosphate was around 0.03. With the new rock its spiked to 30 and .3-.4. Looking to bring it down to around 5 and will be running light phosguard. Looking to bring it down to 0.05 at least

Longnose Hawkfish are awesome. He did eat one of my two peppermint shrimp when I added him to the tank although my other one has been living with him for months (maybe a bad molt?) even though they were like the same size. I haven't noticed him go after any of my snails or hermit crabs though. I do feed him well.

Longnose Hawkfish are awesome. I haven't noticed him go after any of my snails or hermit crabs though. I do feed him well.

Atm its really a mix between the flame hawkfish, longnose, and pixy. My tank has 3 fish atm but I think ive seen the watchman a total of 3 times, he's eating too just super skiddish. I will probably be getting 1 more that perches on the rocks, my bioload should be able to handle it

Little update: been dosing and trying to get my nutrients down with 5ml of vinegar, wc, phosguard.

Because i bought my lr from a used tank with high nutrients, The rock has lots of nutrients just seeping out. Combating with a protein skimmer, vinegar dosing, and phosguard. Usually its not good to do things quick but I wanted to get my numbers down to a manageable level first to make carbon dosing easier.
I am looking at 1-2 more fish as ill be incorporating and building a separate refugium 5g tank thats connected to my main tank. Either a pair of clowns or something small. Some suggestions would be nice

Made a post on it but my dotty got shredded and torn by my sicce wavemaker sadly.. luckily he is doing okay and seems pretty unaffected. Noticing a little deadspot on my acro (may be rtn/stn) but I can't really tell. Decided to get some more flow for the tank though just so that water can cycle through. Thinking it may have been caused by the phosguard but im noticing all the other acros finally transitioning from the browns to the greens so colors coming back. The dead spot hasn't grown all day so hopefully it cures itself

Some positive news though is that the dottyback is okay and I picked up a grafted Echinophyllia since no one in my area has grafted montis

Finally got the protein skimmer (new one) and seems to be working

Superglued over the rtn acro and it seems okay so far but time will tell, new chalice seems to be settled in. Got a big haul got coral coming in soon so hopefully i can get some pictures up

More positive news the completely browned acros from the move are finally coloring up. Greens coming in first so hopefully i get all the color back

Sad news with the 20g, the ywg was found dead today. I never really saw it but ive seen him eat a couple times so I assumed he was skittish but I found him pushed out his cave today. Now that the bioload has lightened up I may get a different shrimp goby (something bigger and more active)

Lights on in the reef. Been running 2 hours with max full spectrum before transitioning into radion ab+ all at 55%, ending the night on all blues

Noticed some markings on old and new acros so praying they're just growth patterns and not bugs. They dont blow off luckily

Coming back from the lfs for phosguard and came back with two midnight clowns. Have a duncan for them to host. Hopefully with the damsel/dottyback they'll be okay but there has been no aggression or territorial behavior. The two current fish share caves sometimes

New pick ups from a trade today. Had an RR tropicana anacropora and around 10 heads of a sticker shocker zoa. Traded it for a birdsnest, Starburst monti, 7 heads of rainbow incinerator, and a polka lepto.

Looking to add 1 last fish to the tank, I've got so much unused area around the rocks so ill pick up a falco hawkfish or some sort of percher.

Yeah, im definitely more heavily stocked in this tank but my nutrients are pretty low and ive had 0 aggression so far. Only issue with the hawk is the pistol and cleaner shrimp. Im looking for the least aggressive species so its between a falco and longnose
