Aquascape

I have a 100 lbs of live rock, non of them are those specially designed rocks to make cool scapes so for me as a beginner its extremely difficult to get a good aquascape for a mixed reef which is a work in progress. Any tips? I suck at aquascaping. It took me 3 years to be happy with my freshwater scape. :/

I personally like the islands aquascape. Just many piles with caves and negative space.

I want to do that, but would taking out like 30 lbs worth of rocks cause a spike in ammonia and whatnot?

Depending on your bioload, it could. You could start removing a little at a time to allow time for things to adjust.
