I know little to nothing about aquascaping, but I’d figure it give it a try for my 120 gallon, any suggestions, here’s the first rock

Looks pretty good to me. Hard to tell from the angle of the photo but make sure there is some slope front to back and/or projections. As coral grow it's best to have them not be one right over the other or shading happens real quickly.
 
I like the rock! I do think it could use some more caves for fish, but that is just me!
