I believe that of the two most common 'off the shelf pet store' tanks-- Aqueon and Marineland, one has a slightly better reputation (i.e., considered less likely to leak), but I honestly can't remember which one. Hopefully someone here can chime in. 😉

I have had many aqueon tank and never had a leak.

I just set up a 54g corner tank with a 2007 build date on it and I am far more confident it will keep the water in then the 2023 redsea s1000 g2 that is sitting on the other side of the room.

thanks everyone. I’m thinking of going in this direction ad the 180-rimless are 4x the price of one of these.

Does anyone notice a difference in clarity of low iron “starphire” glass compared to a regular rimmed tank? Is it that much of a difference. I had a regular tank many years ago that i don’t remember the difference.

Someone is selling a reef ready aqueon brand new with what looks like a solid wood stand for $1,000

I ran a aqueon 180g for a few years as fresh water then 6 years as salt using hob overflows. It was still running when I upgraded to a 330. I also had a 125 that was fresh water for several years and eventually was divided into a sump and ran that way for 6 years under the 180g.

PS I didn't see a difference in clarity but I'm sure if you used a white card with text or something similar you might. They don't scratch as easily as low iron glass IME which is a plus for me. Lighting can be a little tricky with cross braces but can an be overcome with coral placement.
