Ok well this is it guys. This is the sale you have been waiting for. We made it. Arbordaymageddon 2025 is upon us!

We are going to continue right where we left off last year. If you aren't familiar with the gist of the BC Arbor day Plant-a-thon here it is. Simple and fun.

The primary objective is to "plant" trees. I mean that's what A-Day is all about right? Except, when we plant trees for this event we are choosing any one of the available "battle trees" provided below posted into any thread in my forum and perhaps elsewhere.

You may get yelled at. People will be confused. People will think your account has been hacked or there is an internal problem with the actual site. Some people simply won't understand and may even get a little mad at you. That is ok. Just keep planting.

The more trees we plant the better. We want to see as much green as possible for one day, Arbor Day 2025, Friday April 25th. And I am going to give anyone who makes one of the trees below their Avatar for the duration of the sale a link for a free frag that will be added to any order anytime:)

That's pretty much it. There will be an automatic discount applied to any size order at checkout starting at the stroke of midnight, this Thursday night.

There is only one rule. @Randy Holmes-Farley unfortunately does not particularly like this event. So let's please stay out of the Chem forum unless we hear otherwise.

I have a few ides for some peripheral games if anyones interested including but not limited to:

  • Essay contest. What does Arbor Day mean to you and why should we care? 300 words or less.
  • Poems and/or haikus of, or about anything Arbor Day
  • Make your own tree image using any form of media you want.
  • Create and sing a song about trees or this event.
  • Create an original game for us all to play.
  • Do you have an aversion to Arbor Day and if so, why? 200 words or less.
  • Tell us what your favorite Battle Tree is and why.
  • Tell us what your favorite actual tree is and why.
  • The person who "plants" the most trees wins.
  • TBA

Arbor day to me is planting trees. Whether to replant areas that were destroyed, or bring back some natural O2 conversion. We also live right off a field, so we plant some every year to add to a wind and snow break.

My son loves Minecraft and he chose this one. Might just keep it as my permanent avatar for a while. It’s crazy how the year has passed since the last A-Day!

Arbor Day and Battlecorals: A Celebration of Life Above and Below

On Arbor Day, we honor the trees—sentinels of the sky, cradling birdsong in their branches and stitching the horizon with green. Their roots anchor the soil as their leaves dance with the wind, breathing life into the world one quiet gust at a time. It's a day to remember how nature grows with patience and purpose.

And beneath the waves, a different forest blooms.

Battlecorals celebrates this day with a living tapestry of vibrant reef life—corals that echo the color and complexity of any forest canopy. Just as trees reach upward, corals stretch outward, forming colonies of luminous branches and fans. Both are vital: trees sequester carbon and shade our cities; corals shelter fish and protect our coasts.

There’s a strange harmony between the arbor and the aquatic—between branches and polyps, leaves and tentacles, bark and calcium skeleton. On this Arbor Day, as saplings are planted in soil, Battlecorals invites you to plant something in water—a coral frag, a piece of reef reborn.

The sale isn’t just a transaction; it’s a small act of restoration. Every coral added to a tank is a nod to ecosystems under stress, a gesture of connection to a world often unseen.

Whether you’re planting a maple or a Montipora, today is about growth, resilience, and beauty. Arbor Day reminds us that life thrives wherever we care enough to nurture it—whether on land, in water, or in the quiet space between.

Arbor Day: A Celebration of Roots and Responsibility

To me, Arbor Day is more than a day to plant trees—it’s a reminder that we are all connected to the living world around us. It’s a time to appreciate the quiet strength of trees and what they symbolize: patience, resilience, and growth. Trees don't just stand still—they anchor ecosystems, clean the air we breathe, and offer shade, shelter, and life to countless creatures. They are living proof that small, steady actions—like growing one ring at a time—can make a lasting impact.

As someone who’s passionate about corals and marine ecosystems, Arbor Day speaks to a broader truth: every ecosystem, whether on land or under the sea, deserves our respect and protection. Just like forests on land, coral reefs are the “trees” of the ocean, providing structure, shelter, and life for marine species. Arbor Day reminds me that stewardship doesn’t stop at the shoreline. Caring for the environment means nurturing every branch and reef, every leaf and polyp.

In a world moving too fast and consuming too much, Arbor Day asks us to slow down, plant something meaningful, and think about the legacy we leave behind. A tree planted today may outlive us all, silently improving the lives of generations to come. That’s a powerful thought—and a powerful reason to care.

Whether it’s a sapling in the soil or a coral frag in the sea, the act of planting is the act of hope. Arbor Day inspires us to grow with intention, root ourselves in purpose, and leave the world greener and better than we found it.

Poem about Abor Day

pon this day, we pause to see,
The mighty grace of every tree.
Their roots hold fast, their branches soar,
Guardians of the earth’s grand lore.

With each new seed, a promise grows,
A leafy vow the forest knows.
For shade, for fruit, for air we share,
The trees stand witness to our care.

On Arbor Day, with spade in hand,
We pledge anew to heal the land.
A sapling’s hope, a future’s say,
We plant the dream of Arbor Day
