Hello,

firstly, has anyone got experience with an Arcadia AT250 chiller? i know it's not necessarily the best brand out there but I've been offered a new one on a very good deal

Secondly, just some general chiller advice.
chillers are not so necessary over here in UK, so I'm not so knowledgeable about them.

I have a lean-to sun room on the side of our house with polycarbonate roof.
We mostly use it has a utility room and store, but it is the only place i can fit a frag tank in the house. The only problem is it gets quite hot when the sun shines, so was thinking of how to keep it cool.
So i was thinking of using a chiller, but wasn't sure about the practicalities of fitting one when it won't be necessary all of the time.

So questions that popped into my head are
1. Should the chiller run all the time or on a temp controller?
2. If not On all the time, should you run water through it all the time?
3. do you site the chiller in a different room?
Thanks

You want to run it on a temperature controller. I run water through mine all the time, though you can take it off line during the colder months. Chiller exhausts a lot of heat so I always run mine outside.
