You will also find several of us around R2R that have been and continue to be beta testers for the Archon as well as very knowledgeable with the other Digital Aquatics products. We are happy to help with questions.

Thanks! Sorry for the slow response, but I've been really busy the last few days.

Questions:
1. Is the Archon controller in full production or still beta testing?
2. What is the deal with never having all of the modules in stock on the website? I've checked many, many times only to find key modules out of stock at different points in time. Since I can only get them through the DA website, it's pretty frustrating. I need to make a selection pretty soon, but if I can't get all of the things I need by June, that could influence my decision.
3. I watched the YouTube video for the Archon controller. The company representative mentions the RKE is the older, more stable platform. Is that still true? What stability issues are typical for the Archon?

Other questions will probably come up, but these are the ones I can think of for now :)

Hello,
1 - Yes the Archon is in full production.
2 - Some of the modules are showing out of stock while we are waiting for the design on the overlays to be finished. If you do order the normal (black label), modules, we will gladly send the Archon labels (so they match the rest of the system) when they become available. The modules that currently have different, or upgraded functions are avaialbe with the Archon label. There will soon be updates coming out for the modules that will allow new and/or faster features for the Archon, and these will be handles via firmware updates.
3 - While the YouTube video was not made by Digital aquatics, but by one of our beta testers, this was done about 6 months ago. The Archon has gone through a lot of changes in this time, making it both more stable and even more user friendly. The RKE is a very stable platform as it has been on the market for over 8 years. But, that being said, we feel we have almost tapped all of the capability of the controller.

One advantage we have with the Archon is the ability to quickly make adjustments and send them out to the customer via the web. The Archon updates via the system page, and is not required to be connected to a computer or Ethernet (internet is still required, but can be done so through the built in wireless) to update. This allows us to add features or functions as the need arises. We can also customize functions to fit customers needs on the fly due to the easy programming of the unit.

I hope this answered the questions for you. Please let us know if there is any other information you would like.

Thank you

Man, I need to go and update my Archon videos. but also need more time. I am one of the first ones that had the Archon via the beta tests. Let me know if I can help you at all in your decision. Yes the RKE is an older stable product but as Stated above, it is about tapped out. the Archon holds so much more potential.
