Are all wrasses jumpers?

Yes most wrasse's are jumpers, as are gobies and blennies. My suggestion if you are going to get any of these fish add a screen or an eggcrate top. You can get either of those items at your local Home Depot or Lowes stores. Hope this helped and good luck.

I have the 1/2" as I got it already made from a buddy, and my fairy wrasse jumped within a couple days to its death. So sad and now I have to remake screen tops in 1/2". Glad for this thread or else another may have jumped to its death.

The mesh from BRS is perfect but get the 1/4" not the 1/2".

+1 to this. Half inch is not small enough

But I even lost one with the qtr inch mesh. Because i didnt make the frame close enough to my hob overflow. If there is and inch opening they can find it....

Typed from my phone, because I have nothing better to do.

Weird, just noticed this thread. Had my carpenters wrasse for 4 months and today it has jumped twice....and I even have a cover, unfortunately the gaps are too large...

Right after I made the 1/4" top I lost a fire fish, he actually got stuck in the netting. I was like "nice"!!!

I have a melanarus wrass and an Australian Harlequin Tusk in my open top tank and both have never jumped out. I've only had 1 anthias jump out and I kinda knew it would jump, because the whole time I was acclimating it, it would try to jump out of the bucket when spooked.
