Are encrusting corals a mistake?

Is adding an encrusting coral to you main rock work a mistake?

Inevitability, whatever we place in our tanks will be a problem do to our success.
If you place it in your tank and give it the right conditions you have set into motion wars all over your tank for space and light.
It's inevitable.
And everyone would LOVE to have that type of problem but I’d much rather cut an arm off of an encroaching Miyagi Tort that’s getting too close to my Red Robin, Dipping Dots, or whatever than be scraping an encrusting piece of plaster with a hammer and chisel. Some planning goes a long way and will pay off down the road.

Digi’s and WWC dragon fruit - not sure which monti species it is. Currently the dragon fruit is being culled back by a BC crazzy banana milli and flamethrower table acro. Also had a flavor parade acro sting a blue digi a bit.
