Picked this guy up today and he is very angry.
The largest one is actually longer than the entire colony

It was in a frag tank surrounded by other goniopora and some hammers. Could it just be aggressive from the lfs?

Good thing I put it in the corner away from my mushrooms

Definitely a galaxea.
Their sweepers can reach 2-3 inches or longer and can pack a punch.
I keep mine surrounded by palys and they seem to keep eachother in check.

That is an awesome idea. Looks like I need to get myself a galaxea!

Maybe I could use it to strategically clear out some rogue palys

This one doesn't look "Super murderous." I have seen galaxia colonies that extend easily 5 to 6 inches (12-15 cm) and more! Like a Sham Wow, they clear out most of the stuff they drifted into down stream.
