Okay, i picked up these corals a week ago and they are flourishing! (At least to my untrained eye) they both have swelled up in size, have tons of movement, and generally look what i would call "happy".

Today i noticed they were getting very close to touching each other. 20min later they were, and the dude on the right (forgive my technical terms) has started swelling up. Is this normal? Are they happy? And finally, what are these things called?

Large polyp stony corals will sting each others, so yeah, very likely.

Gottcha! I knew some were pretty aggressive, thats why i stayed away from torches and nems, but i didnt realize they would all need to be kept apart! Usually will it shock that part of the coral, or can a sting kill the entire creature?

They can sting until the coral stays in the skeleton and dies. Or sting it so bad that its flesh dies.

I would separate;)

Never seen an elegance have bubbles on its tentacles like that. Interesting.

Almost looks like a cross between a BTA and an elegance.

Yeah, they werent anywhere near that inflated when i bought it, but had a little bit going on. Hes had an eventful week for sure
