I'm running these mars aqua 165w LED lights off Amazon. 2 ood them on a 55 gallon.

Softies are going just fine but I'm tempted to expand a bit to some lps.

You will have enough light for most LPS corals, try to secure them temporarily to a certain spot to see if they like it first. If they look good after a week or so, go ahead and secure them permanently.

I ran those over a 90 mixed reef for 1 year. Grew SPS and LPS with no problem. Now running Photon V2 48".
Hi , Im curious as too your opinion over the Difference between the black boxes and the photon .. I also have a 90g mixed reef with 3 black boxes but was thinking of maybe upgrading too the photon .. would love to hear pros and cons if there are any ..
thanks Mack !

Looks like my wallet will be getting lighter. Wish I'd started this thread a week ago when I had access to the cheapest corals I've ever seen.

And just like that I made it happen. Oops.
