So I just purchased a group of cleanup crew and once I placed all of them in, the peppermint shrimp starts going to all of my snails and flipping them over, dragging them and it appears to be attacking them or trying to kill it. Has anyone else experienced this before, or is it common for them to bully snails and hermit crabs around?

The larger mine got, the more aggressive it got. It started to take food from corals which ****** me off... until one night, I saw my pistol eating it...guess the pistol had enough of it's crap also.

holy smokes guys i had no idea peppermint shrimps were so ruthless. and to think i almost put a couple in my tank recently

i nevre had a problem with the ones i had, but i would hand feed them small peices of krill once or twice a week to keep the satisfied lol

I've never had problems with peppermint shrimp other then stealing food from othe tank inhabitants. our you sure they are pepp's they're other shirmp that look like them but are not true peppermint shrimp.

I had a pep. a while back, he became a bit of a nuiscance stealing food from my lps, so I gave him to a buddy of mine what had a few aptasia he needed to get rid of:)
