Assembling scape for my new tank and I really like this rock, it's fairly large. Tank is 130g. It's not a through cave but maybe I could knock some holes into it. I figure worst case, a cleaner shrimp might occupy it. Any peaceful fish that might occupy this area?

That is very big but a watchman goby might although they could also maybe dig a hide out on the other side of the tank entirely too lol
Ya, I think that's a common thing I'll find. It's not like this will be the only channel or cave, this will just be the biggest cave that doesn't go anywhere. I think I'm looking for something that doesn't make caves, but does enjoy them.

Basslets tend to hang around caves, your typical royal gramma or blackcap comes to mind.

its a wide open cave that doesn't provide any real cover to the fish. Its hard to say if a fish will stay there, it might get used or it might become unused wasted space. IMO

My watchman would hang out near a hole in the aquascape, but it was a lot smaller than that

Blue gudgeons love to hide in caves. Not sure if it would work, but might be large enough for them to feel they are hiding and still be seen. I had a group once and they hid for a long time, but then started coming out at feeding time, and we loved them.

Now those are cool! Never even heard of those!

Yes they are. Ours were bright blue almost metallic. Absolutely love watching them when they allowed it.
