Hi All,

We set up this nano system in October and added 3 Cardinal fish a month or two ago. We feed them copepods regularly (we have a culture set up) and they have gotten quite plump. Last night we noticed two of them seem to have paired up. Is this spawning behavior?

That looks like just closeness to me. I had a trio that would hang out together. When the spawning happened I could catch them vibrating near each other. And of course spawning is easy to figure out cause the male will end up with a mouth full of eggs. His 'jaw' will be bigger, he'll stop eating and eventually he'll swim around with his mouth open. It could be them beginning to pair up.

They are just hanging out, They look a little young to spawn. But I could be wrong. They will spawn eventually if they are well fed, you can't stop happy Bangai's from spawning.
