A local guy is selling a bunch of jawbreakers for $30-$70, are these intact jawbreakers? They don’t look like the same mushrooms at all to me. And if I buy an all orange one is there a chance it can develop green or red marks? Or will it likely stat orange forever? Been wanting a jawbreaker for a while but can’t find one for a good price. Thanks guys!!

Are they jawbreakers? I thought jawbreakers looked more like Discosomas? Or are there different kinds?

There are some mushrooms that are close to jawbreakers but aren't. They never form green or red. These are my jawbreakers and you can see that juveniles have very little to no red. Some may develop alot of red/green later on in life but there is no guarantee. It's a gamble buying juveniles. Most of the time though, you should ask to see the mother jaw breaker. With that many splits he should have at least one adult one. That way you have an idea of what the juvenile can develop to.

Here is a closeup of my baby JB. It is larger than a Quarter expanded, and it is beginning to get a little red in spots. Those shrooms look a little different but are cool. It is hard to tell in the photo.
