No actually, what are these. I picked up some coral from a guy on fb marketplace and he had a whole bunch of these corals. He told me they were just mushrooms that grow like crazy. He gave me a couple with the coral I purchased for no extra charge. After a couple months these things have spread everywhere unlike any coral I know.

I have red and green versions and they grab on the rock like an anemone. I’ve tried to I’d these on google lens but I get different answers every time ranging from aptasia, to duncans, to long tentacle anemones. When I purchased I thought they were pest mushrooms, but not I think they are some type pest anemone. Can someone help ID these guys and share any experience with handling them?

They are Aptasia, pest.
Are you sure?
Atleast, to me, they look more like Majanos.
OP's photos show a green and somewhat bubbled look, textbook of Majanos
That’s what they looked like when they were smaller. As they get larger they start looking more like a nem.

Those are not Aiptasia. Aiptasia are smaller, usually brown/grey, and often semi transparent. Their tentacles are pointy not rounded.

You can treat pretty much all unwanted corals with products like AiptasiaX or Arka/MicrobeLift Aip-Away. In my experience Aip-Away works better for corals like mushrooms and anemones.

Yea, when they were smaller they looked like mushrooms, as they gotten bigger they have long tentacles and a foot just like a nem. I was seeing recession in my corals where these “mushrooms” were and that’s when I noticed the resemblance to a nem. I figured they were some kind of nem but I was hoping you guys would ID it as a harmless coral. I guess not lol. I’ll deal with them slowly, that are very beautiful and almost resemble gsp in large quantities.
