Are these tiny starfish safe or bad?

U can get them at liveaquaria.com from drs. Foster and Smith. A very good on line pet place. I shop there all the time. Never have any problems with these folks. I am not buying my fish, supplies or fish foods anywhere else ever again. I learned my lesson well.

As stated above depends on the exact sp. Some are beneficial some are neutral and others are coral eating pests. My rule is if I see one on a coral and it is not obviously just moving along I pull them.
