They gotta set the profit margin for their standard of living as well. Small target.

Ferrari doesn't build cars for the common man, they're built for deep pocket enthusiasts that can front the finance for the production. Its a small circle not for everyone.

Toyota makes something for everyone.

Im more of a shallow pocket enthusiast.

The worst kind of buyer to try to sell to, but only i know the value of my money.

Sometimes I get to play with big boy toys and im reminded why I dont need them anyways. Aka xr30 on a 34 gallon cube.

This question brings the phrase "Champagne taste on a beer budget" to mind. Fwiw I'll drink whichever is available. 🍺 🍻 🍾 🥂

Fish should be much more expensive than they are.
People would take more appropriate care of the animal’s lives, and less would need to be taken from their habitat.

Increased competition and supply will be the key. If they truly figure out how to mass spawn corals and everyone can do it at home, the prices will drop like a rock.

I often hear people complain about high prices, and that is what sparked this question. I didn’t know how many people view reefing as optional, and who thinks it’s a necessary expense. But I knew it wasn’t one sided. It goes to show there are many different perspectives of reefing, and that’s why I love it. I apologize to those who got heated, this wasn’t meant to be a negative discussion.

Not to keep it going but why I say buy local!!

Plus, not saying I never have nor will buy from a large vendor
But who doesn’t love supporting local business where you interact with the owner or employees who work with and know the owner first hand in your own community!
Granted I have to drive an hour for the “local” fish store I’m sure I’m not alone on that in rural parts lol

Anyways this is well under 200 bucks out the door not to mention a few I may have missed and some free clean up crew I removed before dipping!
