Asterina starfish eating SPS

I didn’t have time to read much of this but IMO they only eat dead or about to die corals. The hobbiest sees them on the coral and blames the starfish instead of parameter swing
I hear that a lot but I have pulled them off perfectly healthy coral leaving behind dead areas. They were clearly eating the coral tissue and it was in the middle of a healthy chalice. The dead spots quickly recovered.

I remember seeing an article claiming there are strains of predatory asterina starfish that have certain identifiers. I tried to find it again on google but had no luck. I havent observed asterina eating any of my sps- or any corals for that matter.
