Astrea snail

im watching my astrea snail is sitting near a torch coral and is repeatedly spitting out a cloudy liquid out of a tube. Anyone ever encounter this before?

Yep. It's spawning:)

I had 8 or so do that all at once. My tank looked like milk till morning. No negative affect at all.

That's awesome. He did it for awhile. The fish went nuts and corals reacted as well.
He's a lone snail. He was baiting his sea cucumber then lol.

yup. I thought I had bacterial blooms a few times until one night I caught one in the act. clouded up my 29 gal real good. The corals were happy

I never really put many snails in my tank originally and down to just the one now over 3 years later. I wonder how hard it is for them to actually reproduce in a reef aquarium
