Im a big fan of astreopora corals, you dont see them shipped in too often. I would like to give some care requirements for this unique coral.
This coral appreciates medium to lower light levels, they tend to do very well at the same light requirements you would keep a chalice at. There should be enough current to keep detritus from settling on them. They dont appreciate strong current, this will prevent the polyps from opening up. They seem to do best in a SPS style tank setup. They arent very fast growers and tend to be on the receiving end of any kind of coral warfare.
I have only seen encrusting / plating varieties available. If your interested in a unique coral that appreciates low light and flow I would give this a coral a try
