Hi all,

My amazeballs goni has decided to close up and has been that way for a couple of weeks :confounded-face:

I have several other gonis in the tank, all open and happy.

Parameters:

Alkalinity: 8.8-9.4 dKh
Calcium: 450
Magnesium: 1420-1430
Phosphate: 0.1-0.2
Nitrates: 25-30

Water quality has not changed in the last 4 months or so.

I added more lights about 1.5 months ago and the acclimation cycle just ended. I think it maybe has to do with the lighting so I’m hoping to understand what PAR you’re keeping yours under to see where I might move it to in the tank. I don’t want to move it multiple times and make it angrier than it already is.

Thanks everyone!

Welcome to amazeballs

This is very very common for them

My vendor has them and won’t sell them because they are so finicky and just randomly close up for long periods of time for seemingly no reason

I see… ok!

Yes it’s super weird. The tissue all looks intact and healthy. Just refusing to open.
