ATI Bubble Master 250. How deep in the sump?

Just picked up one of these and plan on changing out the mesh wheel for the red devil impeller, but does anybody know how deep it needs to sit in the sump? I can't find a manual anywhere.

I found a manual and it says between 6 and 8".
