I'm sure this has been asked before but I wanted an updated answer.

I have a 4 bulb ATI Dimmable fixture that I would like to add LED's to get some more color out of the tank.

Tank is 48" without a canopy so it would need to be hanged on the ATI fixture.

I have a full blown diy rapid led with probably more than 100 cree LEDs over tank but I'm still not happy with it. I'm ready to switch back to ATI t5s with LEDs supplement. Trust me, you will be super happy after you made that decision.

I'm actually doing the same thing to my new 36" 6 bulb sun power, but I dont think you need another hanging kit. just fabricate a bracket that attaches to your fixture.

I've seen a few examples of buildmyleds attached to ATI fixtures. I'm running two ATI 4x80w fixtures over my 315 and am debating whether to add a pair of buildmyleds or a diy fixture between the two ATIs.
