I know this thread may have been touched and gone over some many times. But I am venturing into the t5 world from kessil. I have a new innovative 30 gallon 36" long tank. It's very short in depth and not very tall.

I know ati makes premium lights when it comes to bulbs etc. but will the ati be over kill and is it worth the dimmable?

Go big or go home! Fixtures you buy once in most cases, bulbs are a different story. I don't care so much about them being able to dim or not.

I see you run the ati fixture yourself. Do you run led for color pop? I'm debating on supplementing with a led strip light. I'm going big on this tank as I already have a lot of high end corals and I wanna go all out on lights.

I have the same tank except I am removing the false wall because of the tank has been a nightmare. I am getting the ATI 6 bulb non-dimmable. It will be here Friday or Monday. I chose to go T5 for coverage, maximum growth and coloration. It may be overkill if you use tend to stray towards 14k or less spectrum. I will run 4 Blue+, 1 Coral+, and 1 Purple+ so it will be the right amount of par and blue.
