The first of these pumps I had lasted about 2.5 years. The replacement lasted about 6 months and it’s replacement lasted less than 3 months. Both replacements showed motor still running but less and less ability to pump water any distance.
Being curious at why they were failing I cut and removed the casing from the pump. I found that the small white impeller was a press fit on the motors shaft that was slipping. On the next pump I plan to add a small drop of gel super glue to the shaft impeller, which can be easily reached thru the intake opening. Hopefully this will stop the premature failure . Any one else have this issue?
